Comment on Small Business Twitter Advertising? by Tiffany

With social media, it is important to understand that it opens a two way street for communication. That sounds simple, but I see so many marketers using social media to advertise (i.e. tell customers something), and not really talk with them.

Whether it is Twitter or Facebook, you'll gain more attention posting information/content that educates the reader and leaves them with something. For example, when I lived in the Midwest, I had to make sure this time of year that I had windshield washer fluid in my car that would not freeze. Otherwise, what a mess. So, you could send a message out to your followers reminding them to do that, or maybe that it is time to fertilize the lawn, etc. This would make you more helpful to the customer than a competitor and may swing business your way.

Make sure though, if you start this type of marketing that someone monitors it and answers questions. Followers/Friends may become disconnected if they ask a questions and it stays unanswered for a long time.

Best Wishes!

Thank you so much!! You were very helpful. I had to go through so many bad videos before I found yours. Thanks for highlighting the sections, and for not skipping over the basics (as in, what do the brackets beside the numbers?). Thanks!!

Advertising on cars, windows and posters is a good idea. For example, you can advertise your buisness on other cars, trucks, or vans. This is a new form of marketing. Someone with a white van who drives it daily, might accept money for you to advertise on his van. For more info or pricing check out this website: http://exposeyourselfusa.com/

I know the owner, if you like what you see, you can contact me at Xanderthug1@gmail.com and i will work on getting you a good price.
